- tilt head to opposite side to compensate. Other eye works normal

- UMN from both sides to forehead but only one side to lower face
- pt with UMN lesion affecting facial nerve maintain forehead movement
- LMN lesion completely losses both sides
- unable to tolerate sounds because so loud
- facial droop in half of face
Vestibularcochlear
- rarely done
- Doll's eyes: eyes move with head turn
- warm water side push eye ball away

- aortic dissection: enlarged aorta
